I hope you took the dog to the vet, that black spot looked like dead/gangrenous tissue that needs to be removed and as someone else stated it needs to be debrided, thoroughly cleaned and packed and the dog put on antibiotics.
I bet the dog feels better with the pressure relieved, but all that dead skin needs to be debrided and the would cleaned up really well--professionally.

No gloves???? Yuck. This should have been lanced, drained, and treated by a "real" doctor. That black spot on the dog did not look good.
