Description: After a course of antibiotics,this inflamed Sebaceous cyst size has reduces significantly.But still residual pus present inside this sebaceous cyst back.This needs incision and drainage of pus under local anesthesia.<br /> Here after giving local anesthesia elliptical incision was given over the swelling which includes the punctum. That incised elliptical skin was removed.Then the under lying sebaceous cyst wall was incised in same fashion.Now the mouth of the cyst is wide open for free drainage of pus .One can see all purulent material coming out from the cavity .After pus drainage the inner cavity wall was scrapped with the back of the toothed forceps.One can use curettage for the same.The the cavity was cleaned with a gauge piece. The the cavity was packed with povidone-iodine soaked gauge piece.The pack to be removed after 24 hours.The the patient needs daily dressing for about one week .
