This patient found me from YouTube 👏. He was in a lot of pain and had a history of a Pilar cyst on his scalp. Once the cyst ruptures the body can have a severe inflammatory response to the contents like this one did. I’ve talked non stop In the past about the acid-base shift with inflamed wounds. I put a lot of lidocaine in and let him sit for 20 minutes and he still could feel at the bottom of the pocket. But we got as much as we could see and he could tolerate. We will monitor closely going forward. I applied mild pressure at the very end and missed a projectile bursting of the pocket, I did record the aftermath though. Thanks again to my patient for putting his trust in me and for traveling to me. Dermatology procedure. Dermatology Physician Assistant. Incision and drainage. Ruptured pilar cyst. Scalp abscess.
