This nodule was treated as a cy*t with kenalog injections at another office. I originally thought it was one as well. However, when I got it out I could tell it was something very different. This was a rare mixed tumor eccrine gland carcinoma (sweat gland cancer). Luckily we did not inject it, we just cut it out. This is why I always send everything out to a pathologist, you never know when you will find something different. Patient is doing great with a positive future ahead. Dermatology Physician Assistant.
